CHS turns up the heat for charities

When Kevin Matthew, Chairman of CHS heard from a group of volunteers working at Parity for Disability that they had to boil the kettle just to gain access to hot water, he decided to do something about it. Kevin quickly pulled together a team of willing CHS Engineers who attending the charity and installed a brand new Baxi boiler at the Whetstone road premises in Cove.

Helen Abbiss, the Community Support Director at Parity said "We were totally taken by surprise at the sheer generosity and quick work by CHS to install and fit a new boiler at no cost. This donation has saved us somewhere in the region on £2000. We really can not thank Kevin and his team enough for making this happen"

The good work did not stop there, a week later Kevin and his engineers were at The Source Cafe, a project for young people doing excatley the same. Kevin says "It is a real pleasure for us to be able to contribute this way. Charities do a fantastic job for communities and so to be able to give something like hot water and heating makes all the difference to those doing fantastic jobs" Parity for Disability support young people with complex needs and The Source Cafe runs projects for youngsters in Aldershot including anger management and teen parents programmes.
