CHS Managers give students business insight

The talks were arranged as part of the Business Studies curriculum. The College has recently launched a Diploma in Business, the first of a range of vocational business related courses to be introduced as alternatives to traditional A levels.

Having guest speakers visit the programme and share stories helps to bring elements of the programme to life, as Anja Harwood, Subject Leader for the Business course, explains: "Understanding the inner workings and internal and external influences on local businesses will enable students to develop a deeper understanding of the business environment and empower them to effectively evaluate the impact of key business decisions. We are very grateful that inspirational companies like CHS have invested time and engergy into supporting our students' achievements."

Kevin Matthew, Chairman of CHS said "Myself and Rob were delighted to be invited along to The Sixth Form College to talk to business studies students about how Central Heating Services has grown and developed over the years from a small family run business into a leading local firm. We are passionate about helping young people to be successful in business and it was a real pleasure to visit this outstanding college and talk to these youngsters."
