Charity Golf Day

The competition got underway in perfect conditions on a pristine course. The battle for the trophy was always going to be tough, however the team from Honeywell Controls were crowned champions after fighting off stiff competition.

Sue Collen, Fundraising Manager at The Source said, "This event was just fantastic. It was amazing to see so many positive people there supporting Kevin Matthew who is such an inspirational man doing an outstanding and never ending job in raising money for local charities and communities. The money raised through this brilliant day - a superb £2,500! - enables us to increase the hours of our detached youth worker, meaning that we are now able to open our youth cafe four nights a week, rather than just two."

After the teams had competed their rounds, Kevin Matthew, CHS Company Chairman, led the post-competition meal, presentation and prize giving ceremony. Kevin said, "We were delighted again with the number of teams who took part in the competition and are very grateful for the continued generous support of North Hants Golf Club."

This is the eighth consecutive year CHS has organised the Golf Day; over the years, funds have been raised in support of a diverse array of charitable organisations including Scotty's Little Soldiers, the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice and Sophia's Footsteps.
